Mixed Paints

Your paint orders are custom mixed by hand at our Ellesmere Port premises. All paint components used are manufactured and supplied by The Lechler Paint Company in Italy, who were the suppliers of the original paint to Innocenti, the manufacturers of Lambrettas. We mix three types of paint: 1K – which is the modern equivalent of cellulose. 2K – which is a high quality, durable paint system which requires a hardener to enable it to dry. This hardener does present difficulties for the DIY painter as it should only be sprayed when wearing an air fed mask. Basecoat – used for metallic colours. It is a two coat system, requiring a clearcoat lacquer to provide the finishing gloss.
